Many people want to learn how to program a website, the idea of providing help to people with computer problems interests several others. With computers being part of our sophisticated technology that runs everything, it is no surprise that people trained in the various fields are in high demand. Information Technology is a potent force that can empower millions of people to reach their potentials and realize their dreams.
However, for many communities around the world, “The Digital Divide” keeps that power out of reach. Studies further reveal that in some of the poorest communities, the cost of establishing an internet connection could feed a family for a year. The International Computer Foundation is founded on the optimism that providing access to technology is a critical part of the answer, as well as IT skills training and guidance; to help people discover what technology can do for them, and what they can do with technology.
